Bridging Science and Wellness –

Discover, Learn, Join Us

Welcome to Sha Research Foundation

Many people today live with long-term health conditions, stress, or mental and emotional

challenges. At the Sha Research Foundation, we explore whether simple guided practices—

like meditation, hydration techniques and using sound—can influence better health, mood

and well-being. We study these techniques using scientific research methods. Everything we

do follows approved procedures to make sure our studies are safe, respectful, and reliable.

Founded in 2002 by Dr. Zhi Gang Sha and a team of medical professionals, our foundation

is based in San Francisco and has been sharing research findings at conferences since 2001.

What We Do

Test simple, traditional practices to see how they may help physical,

 emotional and mental health;

- Partner with research groups to carry out careful, ethical studies;

- Share our results with health professionals and the public.

Why It Matters

There’s growing interest in combining modern medicine with approaches that are low-cost,

easy to learn, and accessible to all. We aim to provide clear, science-based information so

people can make informed choices about their health.

Get Involved

Interested in learning more or joining a study? We welcome people from all backgrounds

and walks of life. No experience is needed—just curiosity and an open mind.

Curious about how meditation might help?

Be a part of our Health and Well-Being Studies!

Are you 19 years old or above and open to trying new ways to improve your health, mental

and emotional well being? The Sha Research Foundation is inviting volunteers to

join research studies exploring how simple activities like meditation, hydration

techniques and sound might help people feel better, manage stress, or improve

health conditions.

We’re currently looking for:

People diagnosed with depression or anxiety — to explore new ways to support

mental health and well-being.

People diagnosed with any long-term health condition — to see if certain

activities might help reduce symptoms or improve quality of life.

Anyone from the general population — even if you’re healthy and simply

interested in learning new techniques for relaxation and well-being.

As a participant, you’ll get:

  •  Free classes teaching simple methods you can use at home
  •  Access to new techniques like meditation with art designs and

            using sound and hydration techniques

All activities are safe and approved by ethical boards, gentle, and guided by

professionals. Participation is free. Right now, we’re accepting volunteers living

in North America only.

Why It Matters?

By joining a research study, you’re helping to find new ways to support people’s

health and well-being. What you learn and experience could make a difference—

not just for you, but for others who may be going through the same struggles.

Your participation helps researchers understand what works, what doesn’t, and how

to improve these techniques for more people. You’re not just trying something new

for yourself—you’re also giving back and being part of something bigger. Small steps

lead to big change. Together, we can help create better and potentially more options for

people everywhere.

👉 Interested? Fill out our contact form today and learn more about how you

can get involved. We’d love to hear from you!
