Study Basics

We thank you for your interest in taking part in a research project. We deeply appreciate that you made a decision to support humanity by allowing findings of your health improving process to be shared with others (confidentially with your identity protected), and in this way inspire others to benefit from these health improving systems.  

 

Initial Screening

When you decide to participate in our study, first you will need to go through the screening process. If you are eligible to participate, you will need to fill out an application and give us your consent to participate in the study. This takes probably about ½ hour to do.  After these formalities are finished, you will be given a confidential ID and password to go to our website to fill out two initial questionnaires.  It takes about 10 minutes to finish. 

Meetings

There will be an introductory session with an experienced facilitator who will explain to you all the details of the practice with Tao Calligraphy. This session and weekly practices with experienced facilitators are a gift to you.

You will meet online with the group of other research participants to practice together once a week, or twice a week. Also, do practice daily with Tao Calligraphy at least 30 minutes on your own. 

The duration of a study will generally be for at least three months. After the end of the three months of practices, we will ask you to fill out the two questionnaires on the website again. Depending on the kind of study you choose, we would instruct you to either continue practices for another three months, or to stop/conclude any practices with the Tao Calligraphy. For certain specific studies, after the end of the second three months of practices, we will ask you to fill out the two questionnaires on the website again. This would complete the final requirements and conclude your participation in the study. However, in some studies there is an option to continue to be a part of our research study for longer by practicing and filling in and submitting questionnaires every 6 months.

What is Given

At the beginning of some studies, you will also receive a one-time subtle energy transfer to help you to practice. This is given as a gift.  In some studies, you will also receive a subtle energy transfer to a container of water, and you drink the water to facilitate improvement. This is given as a gift. Depending upon the study, a Tao Calligraphy may be given for your practices. We will offer you six or more free practice sessions with a facilitator. This all will be given to you for free in appreciation for your participation in the study.

Data Collection 

After we finish collecting data from the required number of participants, we will analyze the data and present findings at conferences, hospitals, and universities, and write scientific papers. In any material that appears in public, you will never be identified in any way.  Your confidentiality is strictly protected.

As a rule, in certain studies, we do not require a copy of your entire chart or extensive information except for a simple letter from your doctor with your diagnosis confirmed and medications you are taking. That is basically all that is needed. If you choose to send us more, like reports of tests, that is always appreciated.

Claims

We of course never claim that Tao Calligraphy practices can replace conventional medicine.  We always advise everyone to continue conventional treatments, follow the advice of your doctors, psychologists, or any other medical practitioners. We also advise everyone to continue to take your medications and other medical treatments that you usually take. The studies are overseen by a medical doctor. We always stress to our participants that in no way are we replacing conventional medicine. We do not offer treatment and we do not make any diagnosis. We are strictly functioning as researchers.
